Restaurant Assistant
Under the supervision of the Farm Manager, the Restaurant Assistant is primarily responsible for the farm's restaurant sales and represents the farm in relationships with local restaurants.
Responsibilities include:
- communicating produce availability to chefs
- orders via phone, email, Miva
- creating harvest and pack out sheets from orders
- assisting with restaurant harvest
- coordinating restaurant pack out
- invoicing and payment tracking
- deliveries
- sales tracking
- input into restaurant crop plan
- maintaining relationships with current accounts
- developing relationships with new accounts
- general farm fieldwork
Ideal candidates:
- prior experience in CSA farming
- prior customer service experience
- valid driver's license and clean driving record
- can perform light to heavy lifting (up to 60lbs), repetitive grasping and standing, bending, kneeling and walking. Severe hay fever or other allergies should also be considered. (No application will be rejected because of a condition or impairment that, with reasonable accommodation, does not prevent performance of work.)
Compensation
- $9 an hour through December 31, 2008
- $10 an hour starting January 1, 2009 (after performance review)
- Housing Negotiable
