Apprentice Application

Directions: Answer the following questions as thoroughly as possible.

  1. What are your long-term career aspirations and how does this apprenticeship fit into that plan?
  2. Have you had any previous agricultural experience?
  3. Have you ever had a job that was physically demanding? Please elaborate.
  4. Have you ever had a job that required doing the same thing for hours at a time? Please elaborate.
  5. What features are you looking for in an apprenticeship?
  6. What do you feel you would contribute to the farm as an apprentice?
  7. Please describe any physical limitations that might affect your ability to perform certain tasks. Many jobs require light to heavy lifting (up to 60lbs), repetitive grasping and standing, bending, kneeling and walking. Severe hay fever or other allergies should also be considered. (No application will be rejected because of a condition or impairment that, with reasonable accommodation, does not prevent performance of work.)
  8. Can you commit to the entire 5 months?
  9. Do you have a clean driving record?
